There has been a misunderstanding regarding the 144,000 mentioned in the book of Revelation. The 144,000 are young virgin Jews who were chosen by God to evangelize during the tribulation. There are 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. Each of the 144,000 has a mark on his forehead representing “his Father’s name.” This mark is God’s seal of protection against His divine judgment on earth during the tribulation and against the wrath of the Antichrist. The mission of the 144,000 Jews is to evangelize those who remained after the rapture and to announce the Gospel. Through their ministry, multitudes from all nations will come to Christ and receive salvation.
“In Revelation 7, those of the twelve tribes of Israel are commissioned to be witnesses of the Lord, and they have the seal of God on their foreheads,” Amir said. “In Revelation 14 we see them already before the throne after having been martyred. They have done their work and now their souls are in the presence of the Lord, singing to Him a new song that no one but them knew.
Amir explains that after chapter five of the book of Revelation, the church is no longer mentioned because all the believers have been raptured. The Church will not go through the tribulation. This is why God resurrected 144,000 Jews and the two witnesses.
“This is why it is impossible for the nation of Israel to be annihilated and for the Jewish people to disappear, because they still have a job and a task even during the tribulation,” Amir said.
Jews return to their homeland
After Solomon’s death, the kingdom of Israel was divided and the Jews of the Northern Kingdom were scattered.
“These people are slowly returning to Israel. We see people from the tribes of Dan and Manasseh; Ethiopians and people from India and elsewhere,” Amir said. “God is slowly bringing his people back to their land. We’re watching this happen and it’s just beautiful. I don’t think we’re done yet. The Jews will return in even greater numbers. And it is quite likely that the greatest catalyst for the return of the Jews will not be the return to a prosperous Israel. It will be because of the persecutions, the economic crisis and the anti-Semitism in the world which will push them to return home.
The tragic war between Ukraine and Russia led to the return of Jews from both countries to Israel. God cares for his people even in the midst of tragedy. God’s plan is carried out no matter what.
Barry explains how, in Genesis 15:18, God made a covenant not only with Abraham’s people and descendants; He entered into this alliance with the country.
“This is why later Ezekiel will speak of the fact in chapter 38 that every day that the Jews are outside their national homeland, the name of the Lord is profaned,” Barry said. “It is because of this alliance with the people and the land which is a prophetic necessity that the Jews not only reside within the borders of Israel but also possess the entirety of Jerusalem for what will happen in the future with the construction .of the Third Temple.
Barry explained that when the Jews became a nation again on May 14, 1948, and were given a homeland, it was the most important prophetic event in Church history.
“We live in a time of sequential prophetic fulfillment that marches toward the rapture of the Church, and then the tribulation follows,” Barry said.
