Here’s what the Chattanooga area has to offer this week.
CONGRATULATIONS, MO AND STYCKMAN
“The 57th Annual CMA Awards” won’t air for another month, but the winners of the Country Music Association’s broadcast awards already know their fate. Last week, nominees Lainey Wilson and Jordan Davis surprised radio stations and radio personalities with one-on-one phone calls to reveal the news. One of Davis’ calls was to Melissa “Mo” Wagner and Greg “StyckMan” Owens of Chattanooga station WUSY, who won CMA Mid-Market Broadcast Personality of the Year, their third victory as a team. The show “Mo & Styckman” airs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays on US101. They’re not the only ones with Chattanooga ties vying for the CMA awards. Kane Brown is up for musical event of the year for “Thank God,” featuring his wife, Katelyn Brown.
